At seven, she met St. Germanus of Auxerre and St. Lupus of Troyes, who recognized her spiritual potential and consecrated her to God, marking the true beginning of her devout life dedicated to prayer and service to others.

Acts of Devotion: She is most famously credited with saving Paris from Attila the Hun by encouraging the terrified citizens to pray, assuring them God would protect the city, which indeed proved true when Attila bypassed Paris. Later, during a siege by Childeric I, she bravely sailed down the Seine to gather provisions for the starving Parisians, demonstrating incredible resourcefulness and compassion in a time of dire need.
