Early Life & Calling: Peregrine Laziosi was born in Forlì, Italy, in 1265 into a prominent family, initially engaging in political unrest and anti-papal activities. His life took a dramatic turn after a public encounter where he physically assaulted St. Philip Benizi, a Servite friar; Benizi's peaceful forgiveness profoundly impacted Peregrine, sparking his conversion and eventual decision to join the Servite Order.

Acts of Devotion: As a Servite friar, Peregrine dedicated himself to prayer, penance, and ministering to the sick and poor, particularly those with infectious diseases. He is most renowned for the miraculous healing of his cancerous leg; facing amputation, he spent the night in fervent prayer before a fresco of the Crucifixion, and awoke to find his leg completely healed.

His story of miraculous healing strengthens faith in divine intervention and provides spiritual solace to countless individuals facing their own battles with disease, demonstrating the power of prayer and perseverance.
